These resources are usable across multiple curriculum areas.

These cater to children in ages from birth to approximately 8 years old. They cover all areas from colouring pages and books to software, programs to stories, television linked activities to crafts, play activities and more. There are some links to information on child development and parental advice.

Unless otherwise stated the resources are free.

Remember some sites are not Australian. Check carefully to be sure they conform to Australian requirements before use, e.g. spelling, terminology, guidelines, … .

    Has a small selection of resources at the Foundation to Year 2 level which could prove suitable.
  • Early Childhood Resource Hub

  • ELSA Pilot
    ‘Early Learning STEM Australia [ELSA] is a play-based digital learning program for children in preschool to explore Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics [STEM]’.
  • ECIA Resources
    ECIA develops various resources that are useful for families of children with disability and developmental delays, and the practitioners that support them’. Select from the Resources and other links in the main menu.
  • Early Years Teaching Resources [Tes]
    At time of inclusion, said to have tens of thousands of resources at this level. Note that resources are generally not free, though many of them are quite cheap. This is the Australian site.

  • Gross Motor Skills
    Kid Sense Child Development. Overview, building blocks necessary, problems with, improving these, activities, other useful resources.
  • Home Interaction Program
    ‘HIPPY is a home-based parenting and early childhood enrichment program targeting disadvantaged families in our community’. Brotherhood of St Laurence.
  • K-3 Teacher Resources
    ‘A part of Australian [and overseas] education for 3 years, producing quality printable resources for K-3 Early Years Education. Our site also includes a comprehensive Teaching Ideas Directory’. Both free and fee-based resources, but membership is cheap.
  • Kidz Book Hub
    ‘Publishes well know author educators and aims to provide high quality literacy learning materials for teachers, parents and students at the early childhood level and at the beginning reading level in primary schools’. Free trial, then requires subscription to continue access.

    Covers a wide range of resources across all school levels. Includes Babies, Toddlers and Preschool sections.
  • Modern Teaching Aids

  • Movement & Gross Motor Skills Activities for Kids Pinterest
    Pinterest. ‘Gross motor activities, Outdoor activities and Toddler activities’.
  • Mummy Weekly
    ‘Danielle Mantakoul has now educated thousands of parents on a wide range of topics surrounding early childhood’. Read a collection of these on the site.
  • Parent Resources

  • Resources for Early Childhood Educators
