Under the constitution it has clearly defined roles, some of which may become the subject of negotiation with the Commonwealth government. A majority have bicameral parliaments [two houses], but both territories and Queensland have a unicameral [single house] parliament.

In the State & Territory Information section you will find information about each parliament, houses of parliament, parliamentarians, government departments, government directories, online services, Hansard records, legislation & documents and more.
