This page is about Islam. This is one of the five major world religions/belief systems. There are several branches, but all follow the basic tenets of Islamic belief. Islamic believers are found throughout the world, though dominantly in the Middle East, eastern Europe, the northern half of Africa and parts of Asia and South-East Asia. There are thought to be about 1.5 billion Islamic worshippers.
Find information about major figures in Islam, Islamic history, basic beliefs and concepts, essential texts, particular branches and their beliefs and more. There is also software available, especially to aid with religious texts.
