This page has two sections. The first covers Australian Art Galleries at state and national level as well as general information about galleries and things related to them. Individual, private galleries have not been included because of the numbers.
The second looks at World Art Galleries. There is an abundance of material on European and North American national and major galleries, with an increasing amount from the rest of the world. There is information on World Famous Galleries and general links, even to galleries of Bad Art.
Almost without exception, these galleries have a significant online presence covering all features of the gallery including major works. In some cases, they are a more effective way of seeing them than visiting the gallery. There are even son with only an online presence.
You may wish to consider information on the The Arts - Artists and Indigenous Australia - Artists site pages, for more information on Australian and International artists whose work is included on these sites.
