• Who runs the site ? Those run by government bodies or associations are, generally speaking, more reliable;
• If the information or advice sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Be careful !
• Try to check a number of sites to find whether the information remains basically the same;
• Try to find if the information is current. Something from ten years ago could now be totally wrong !
• Besides what it can do, check to see if you are told any negative effects;
• No matter how good you may think a site is, nothing beats a visit to a qualified practitioner, or specialist !
