The Law is an area that is poorly understood by most people who demonstrate little need to change this until it impacts upon them. Many people have a lifetime without any obvious impact upon them, though there may have been numerous instances outside their direct knowledge.
The aim of this page is to provide basic information and resources to expand this. It links to government agencies and organisations at Commonwealth and State/Territory level, gives information about areas such as legal aid and jury duty and other information.
There are connections for finding everyday legal information, including for specific groups. You can even find a lawyer !
For those who wish to go further, check the Legal Studies page, though this is primarily designed for tertiary students and professionals.
