In years gone by, booksellers were usually shopfronts or advertisers in magazines. Most people bought locally. While it was possible to get books from overseas, it took a lot longer than today. There were some specialist booksellers, but nowhere near the present range. Certainly there was little direct access to overseas and no online booksellers.

As with many other areas, it would be impossible to attempt a complete listing. This page provides access to a range of Australian booksellers. These include international groups who link into the Australian market. There are also specialist groups - academic, technical, used, audio and more.

In the same way, you can access online booksellers. Some link to shopfront businesses, some are based overseas, some are entirely separate

There are also comparison sites. If you want to buy, you should be able to do so at the best possible price ! These will assist you to find this. Be sure to count delivery costs as part of the final price.
