Vocational education and training - post-compulsory education and training, excluding degree and higher level programs delivered by higher education institutions, which provides people with occupational or work-related knowledge and skills. VET also includes programs which provide the basis for subsequent vocational programs. Alternative terms used internationally include technical and vocational education and training, vocational and technical education and training, technical and vocational education, vocational and technical education, and further education and training.[1]
Vocational Education can be done in the secondary school, through Technical and Further Education Colleges and other entities. It includes apprenticeships and traineeships. It also incorporates information provided in schools and other centres with Careers Education.
Individual pages are provided for Apprenticeships [including traineeships], Careers Education and Vocational Education, the last covering multiple areas.
We continually add to the information available and are willing to consider suggested items as time permits.
As page titles clearly indicate the content, we have not added descriptors. Click on the page title to go to the page.
