Career education facilitates learning about self in relation to the world of work, making and implementing career plans and decisions, and managing work transitions.[1]
Career Education is supported in all education systems and at all levels, though more evident at secondary and tertiary levels. It is also provided by groups outside the main school and university systems including TAFE, colleges and other private providers. Most Career Education is involved with provision of information leading to an effective transition from education to work and contributing to the best possible career and lifestyle choices.
Further information may also be found on the Vocational Education page.
This page looks at Career Education in all Australian states & Territories, Commonwealth involvement, resources and other, general information.
