conference [n.]
1. a formal meeting for discussion or debate. 2. an association in commerce for regulation or exchange of information. 3. a league of sports teams or clubs.
Somewhere, on any given day, there will be a conference or event with some educational purpose. This could be at local, regional, state, national or international level. It could be about curriculum, administration or professional development. In addition to the actual conference or event, it is probable that follow-up documentation will be produced. This may lead to increased understanding of a particular area or to systemic change.
The first two pages list conferences and related events at state/territory, national and international level. Inclusions in this section are listed first
under months of the year, then in date order, with each annotation finishing with the relevant dates/venue.
Use individual month links in the menu
below to access specific month listings. Some month links may not operate as they will fall outside both future and past listings covered [see next
point].
This page lists conferences that have been held. The conferences are listed as on the first page. The listing will only be maintained for a period of six months after the event has occurred. This will allow access to papers and other documentation.
The conferences and events listed do not attempt to include all those which will occur. They will include those which the webmasters are aware of and feel are worthy of inclusion. Wherever possible, Australian conferences/events will be included.
Individual conference or event information will be added as far ahead of the actual date as possible. Annotations for individual items will be fairly brief.
The webmasters would appreciate help in this area. If you are aware of a suitable inclusion not already listed on this page, please take the time to notify us. Every suggestion will be seriously considered and if deemed suitable will be added. With your assistance, this page can only become more useful.
