Early Childhood is the first level of lifelong education, accepted as ranging from birth to 8 years of age. It covers the period before school, preschool and the first years of schooling, sometimes called Infants schooling in the Australian system. It includes child development, parental assisted learning, preschool education in either Child care Centres or Preschools and extends into the first formal years of education.
