All states & territories have their own Departments of Education, though they may have different titles. In addition, there are major offices and commissions for the Catholic Education System, Technical and Further Education [TAFE] and many other educational bodies including those for curriculum, vocational education, university admissions and more. Again, titles for these vary between states and territories. States with larger populations often have a wider variety of these bodies.
